Do I have to be enrolled full-time?
Yes, a student must be enrolled full-time to receive the AIGC Fellowship. Check with your institution to determine what is "full-time" status.
Do I have to be admitted into a graduate program to be eligible for a fellowship?
Yes, a student must be admitted into a graduate degree program to be eligible for a fellowship. However, a student does not have to be admitted at the time of submitting an application but must be admitted by early September.
What is the funding amount?
The funding amount is based on your unmet need as determined by your financial aid office. AIGC does not fund for the full amount of your unmet need.
Can I apply for summer funding?
Summer funding is only available to continuing AIGC fellows whose summer enrollment is required or will result in completion of their degree at the end of the summer term. Summer awards are subject to and conditional upon the availability of funds.
Do I have to complete a FAFSA?
Yes, in order to be considered for the AIGC fellowship, an applicant must apply for all available campus-based aid for which they may be eligible through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process.
What fields are considered eligible for funding?
Any field that is in a master’s, doctoral, or professional degree program.
