ANAHSAT

ANAHSAT Application opens September 1, 2014, for the Academic Year 2015-16.

The AIGC All Native American High School Academic Team (ANAHSAT) honors ten American Indian and Alaska Native high school students. The key element, to be given most weight by the judges, will be a student’s outstanding original academic, artistic or leadership endeavor. The judges will be influenced by the student’s ability to describe that outstanding endeavor in his or her own words. Teachers or community members nominate applicants. Criteria for the Team were developed in consultation with AIGC’s staff, board and organizational goals.

Students will be honored in their local  press and in The American Indian Graduate, AIGC’s biannual magazine. Additionally, the American Indian Graduate Center will present students with a certificate of honor.

The All Native American High School Academic Team program was created by AIGC with a grant from the Tommy Hilfiger Corporate Foundation and is currently maintained with private funds.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be American Indian or Alaska Native as verified through submission of an AIGC Tribal Eligibility Certificate (TEC);
  • Applicants must be full-time high school seniors enrolled in an accredited high school, and;
