The new brand honors AIGC’s 50-year legacy of leadership in providing scholarships to Native students and celebrates its next 50 years of empowering students and investing in academic dreams throughout Indian Country. The logo, whose design represents an eagle feather fan with supporting features, while subtly implying a book and pen, and the upward movement of aspiration, communicates our emphasis on culture, education, support, and achievement while recalling the feather in the previous logo.
The tagline, The Center for Native Scholarships, reflects AIGC’s prominence as the largest scholarship provider to Native students in the U.S. and its scope of providing a comprehensive suite of academic and administrative scholarship expertise.
“Words cannot express how extremely excited we are to launch our new brand! We feel it honors the history of this amazing organization and those who have made it possible,” said Angelique Albert, AIGC’s Executive Director. “It also signifies a renewal of commitment to empowering students for the next 50 years. We are dedicated to keeping our students front and center, while creating new partnerships to support them on their academic journey.”
The rebranding is part of AIGC’s strategy to expand its successful models and create a foundation for new opportunities for students. AIGC has recently established new partnerships and scholarships. AIGC is excited about its new marketing and outreach collaboration with Salish Kootenai College to promote their educational programs. Two new programs designed with Wells Fargo will provide college preparatory programming as well as financial wellness education. Additionally, AIGC will offer new scholarship opportunities that reflect partnerships with AMERIND Risk, California Nations Indian Gaming Association, American Indian Business Leaders, Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, and more.
AIGC’s new branding embodies an organization that is expanding itself to provide more scholarships, student resources, scholarship administration, and outreach through Indian Country. The new identity builds upon its legacy of funding students pursuing undergraduate, graduate and professional degrees, but also opens doors to future opportunities and partnerships.
“This is an exciting change for us and marks a strategic pivot in our future direction as a scholarship provider to Native students,” said Albert. “Education is a powerful tool for transforming the lives of our Tribal students. Ultimately, we are driven by the desire to assure every Native student has this opportunity.”
