In anticipation of their momentous 50th Anniversary Gala: A Nation of Scholars on March 25, 2020 from 6 to 9 PM at the Coasterra Event Center and Harbor Float, American Indian Graduate Center is continuing to prepare to celebrate and honor their incredible legacy. However, the organization continues to closely monitor the Coronavirus outbreak in the United States.
“Our thoughts are with everyone affected across the nation by this situation,” said Angelique Albert, American Indian Graduate Center Executive Director. “American Indian Graduate Center is working closely with the staff at Coasterra to ensure that all the proper preventative measures are taken for the safety of our attendees.”
At this time the Gala is set to continue as scheduled. The evening will honor the organization’s founders and alumni, with three prestigious Native alumni leaders being inducted into the inaugural American Indian Graduate Center Hall of Fame and a variety of other festivities including a silent auction, fine dining, live entertainment and more.
American Indian Graduate Center will continue to monitor the situation as the event nears and post any updates to their website and social media outlets. All attendees are also encouraged to review all updates and bulletins for travel and health notices from the Center for Disease Control.
“Our primary concern is the health and safety of all who wish to attend the Gala. We are following the situation daily to ensure a healthy and safe environment at our event. Any updates or alerts will be immediately shared on our website and social media,” Albert said.
