Marketing & Communications Specialist

Under direct supervision of the Director of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships, the Marketing and Communications Specialist supports the development and execution of American Indian Graduate Center’s overall Comprehensive Marketing Plan encompassing marketing, advertising, promotional and communications activities of the organization, and assists in the implementation of a major communications strategy to support American Indian Graduate Center’s fundraising and sustainability plan, scholarships and programs.

A strong candidate will have experience using various social media platforms and web integration tools. Strong demonstrated expertise with Adobe Creative Suite or other recognized publishing software. Experience conceptualizing, conducting layout and delivering print-ready and digital designs is a critical component of this position. Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, graphic design or related field required, plus five years of progressive work experience in marketing; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge database is a plus.

 

Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist

American Indian Graduate Center is in search of an IT Support Specialist. Under direct supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, this position provides computer hardware, software and user support to employees. Qualified candidates should maintain confidentiality of all privileged information. They also troubleshoot desktop problems, hardware and software related, and resolve desktop connectivity issues. They track all problems or issues through resolution. Candidates should have experience supporting both Windows and Mac OS. They will perform network maintenance, changes and upgrades

Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Management or related field, plus two years experience is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

American Indian Graduate Center is in search of a Chief Operating Officer (COO). The COO is a key member of the senior management team, reporting to the Executive Director, and is responsible for the oversight and management of daily operations including direct responsibilities for finance. This role will serve as second-in-command, and ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization. The COO will maintain control of diverse organizational operations, including finance, student support services, scholarship administration, human resources and information technology.

They will also direct program staff in all aspects of the scholarship programs, including recruitment, retention, student services, data collection and reporting. Furthermore, a successful candidate will serve as program liaison to the Board of Directors. They will promote American Indian Graduate Center through attendance and participation in national, regional and local conferences and events. The COO will be responsible for ensuring full compliance to conditions and requirements of grantors, including federal agencies, corporations, foundations and individuals. In addition, the COO will be responsible for establishing policies that promote the company culture, vision and mission.

A strong candidate will have five or more years of experience in a COO role or similar position with broad organizational responsibilities for the following areas: fiscal management and budgeting, institutional fundraising, sales, marketing, human resources, business/program development and strategic planning. Qualified candidates must also possess a working knowledge of Tribes and Tribal organizations, federal contract regulations and procedures and financial aid procedures. A Bachelor’s Degree is required and a Master’s Degree is preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
