The Science Post Graduate Scholarship Fund provides funding specifically for training opportunities in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. Typical awards for professional development will be between $1,200 to $10,000.
To be eligible for assistance from funds appropriated by the Bureau of Indian Education, an applicant:
-Must be an enrolled member of a United States federally recognized American Indian tribe or Alaska Native group, or possess 1/4 degree Federally recognized Indian blood.
-Must be working at Bureau funded school, a school on a reservation, a
school with 20 percent American Indian/Alaskan Native population, or attending a
TCU or accredited post-secondary institution. Exclusive consideration will be given
to applicants using training in STEM in an education field.
-Priority will be given to requests for professional development that are conducted at TCU’s.
-Provide two letters of recommendations, in sealed untampered envelopes, from
faculty and/or employer, either via postal service or electronically. If electronic, the
letter must be sent directly from the recommender; these letters must be mailed to American Indian Graduate Center 3701 San Mateo Blvd NE #200 Albuquerque, NM. 87110. If your recommender prefers to email their recommendation, they must email it themselves, directly to firstname.lastname@example.org.
