Bio

My name is Cyrus Lyday and I am from the Northern Arapaho tribe. This year I will be a sophomore at the University of Oregon. During the month of September I will be finishing up my six week, full-time Social Media Internship at Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission (CRITFC). CRITFC works with 4 partner tribes, Nez Perce, Umatilla, Yakama, and Warm Springs, to preserve and restore salmon and other fish life in the Columbia River.  At CRITFC I manage all of their social media sites, and also work with press releases and writing stories to release on their site. As this internship comes to an end and school begins, I will begin my time as one of the Co-Directors of the Native American Student Union at U of O. There I, along with three other Co-Directors, will be working to plan many native events such as Indigenous Solidarity Day in October and the 50th annual Mother’s Day Powwow in the spring. September will be a busy but productive month for me.
