He is a current Gates Millennium and Accenture Scholar who has had the opportunity to study abroad and receive an internship while in New Zealand. He hopes to use the knowledge and experiences gained abroad to help other Native American students have the same opportunity. His work helping recruit and retain Native American students at SDSMT through volunteering means he’s been able to work towards his goal of increasing the Native American representation in higher education. After graduation, he will be maintaining a close relationship with SDSMT’s Tiospaye program to motivate Native American students.
