In this role, I serve as the university’s tribal liaison, the primary coordinator for large-scale STEM outreach and special events, as well as provide development support to the president. I was elected secretary for the university’s Non-Faculty Exempt Employee Council and formerly served as chair of the Civil Service Advisory Employee Council. Prior to moving to her current position in 2016, I spent four years in the SD Mines university relations office coordinating events, writing for university publications, and publishing content on the university’s social media platforms.

My work as Director of the High Plains Regional Science & Engineering Fair was recognized with a Gold Award by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education in 2018. I advise the Hardrocker Dance Team and Hockey Club and was recognized as the Outstanding Student Organization Advisor in 2017. Additionally, Alpha Delta Pi’s Eta Eta House Corporation received a Three Diamond Award for exemplary performance under Jade’s presidency in 2017. I was selected as member of the first cohort of the SD Mines Leadership Academy in the 2016-2017 academic year. I am also a member of the Ranch A Restoration Foundation Board and the SD Mines Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Originally from Mission, South Dakota, I am an enrolled member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in interdisciplinary sciences from SD Mines in 2009 and was inducted into the university’s Leadership Hall of Fame in 2008. I earned a Master of Science degree in administrative studies with a specialization in organizational leadership from the University of South Dakota in 2011. I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Education degree in interdisciplinary leadership from Creighton University.
